Premium Audio Across Every Space
The Manor House Hotel required audio coverage that could adapt to the varied demands of a multi-use hospitality venue. From the refined ambience of the restaurant to the energy of a wedding reception in the Coach House, and from the relaxed atmosphere of the roof terrace to the motivational soundtrack of the gym, each space called for a tailored approach. The client expected premium quality throughout, with a system that staff could operate with ease.
Working within the constraints of a listed building added a further layer of complexity. Cable routes, speaker placements, and equipment locations all needed to be carefully considered to preserve the character of the property.
Sonance Professional and SonArray: Indoors and Out
Smart Synergy specified the Sonance Professional Series extensively across the hotel. PS-P63T pendant speakers bring warmth and clarity to the restaurant and bar areas, with PS-P83WT pendant woofers adding low-frequency reinforcement where the atmosphere demands it. PS-C63RT and PS-C43RT in-ceiling models provide discreet coverage in more intimate spaces and back-of-house areas.
Outdoors, the Sonance SonArray SR1 system was deployed on the roof terrace, providing consistent coverage across an open-air environment. Sonance Mariner 54 speakers, designed for durability in exposed conditions, complement the outdoor specification. The combination ensures that guests enjoy the same quality of audio whether dining indoors or relaxing on the terrace.
Yamaha Processing and WyreStorm Video Distribution
The audio backbone is powered by 14 Sonance DSP 2-750 amplifiers and two DSP 2-150 units, with a Yamaha MTX5-D processor providing intelligent signal routing and zone management across the entire venue. The MTX5-D's Dante networking capability ensures reliable, low-latency audio distribution throughout the building.
For video, WyreStorm NetworkHD 400 was specified to deliver content across displays in the bar and public areas. The system provides the flexibility to route sources to any screen, giving the hotel the ability to adapt its visual content to different events and occasions.
Security and Surveillance
Complementing the AV installation, Smart Synergy also integrated a comprehensive security solution using Dahua 4-megapixel cameras. In a boutique hotel environment, security is a fundamental requirement, and the Dahua system provides reliable coverage across the property with high-resolution imaging that gives the management team complete confidence in the safety of their guests and premises.
Heritage and Innovation in Harmony
The Manor House Hotel at Lindley is a project that demonstrates how sensitive AV integration can enhance a listed building without detracting from its character. Smart Synergy's thoughtful approach, combined with the versatility of the Sonance Professional range and the reliability of Yamaha and WyreStorm, has created a venue where technology serves the guest experience seamlessly.
